Company Profile and History
Chemical vertical immersion pumps made of plastic from the TP series have been in use worldwide since 1985. Originally designed by KT Kunststofftechnik Troisdorf / Germany, a former market leader in plant and plastic apparatus construction for their own needs for use in a gas scrubber, interest and demand in other areas of application such as surface treatment, waste water technology and many more quickly grew.
Due to the termination of the business activities of KT Kunststofftechnik Troisdorf in 1996, which in the meantime belonged to Huerner Kunststofftechnik Frankfurt, the pump program was taken over by the company Willi Quadt Kunststoffapparatebau Troisdorf. Mr. Willi Quadt was an engineer for many years and was a key co-developer of the submersible pumps at KT Kunststofftechnik, and it was therefore in the interest of the management of KT that the pump program should be successfully continued by him. At that time, his son Markus Quadt had been an integral part of the company since 1994 in production as a plastics fitter (today's job title is process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology). In 1996 he took over the management of the pump production at Quadt.
In 1998 he switched to construction department and received the senior's order to further develop the pump program. In 1998/1999 the submersible pump range was successfully expanded for higher pumping capacities. This expansion was immediately accepted by the customers, and thus production and sales continued to develop successfully, with global exports in particular increasing significantly. In 2005, a cooperation with the Dutch pump manufacturer HENDOR BV was entered into. HENDOR was very interested in high capacity submersible pumps and from then on a partnership and further distribution worldwide developed. In 2010, the company Willi Quadt Kunststoffapparatebau was changed to Quadt Kunststoffapparatebau GmbH for formal reasons. In 2014, another cooperation was realized with the company AirClean Pollution Control from Singapore, which successfully implemented the entire distribution for the Asian region. Here in particular, our immersion pumps are used in gas scrubbers to keep the air clean, e.g. in the semiconductor industry, to the full satisfaction of our customers.
In 2022, the company Quadt Pumpen GmbH took over the pump production, which has since successfully continued the pump delivery program with even more service and commitment under the experienced management of Mr. Markus Quadt.
